History
We are currently looking into the history of this very cool building. if you or anyone you know has photos of the building's previous uses we would love to have copies!
Ultimately, we hope to build a timeline, complete with photos and stories of the building, from new construction through today.
For now, though, we share a few photos of the place as it looked when we purchased it, and what we've done to it.
Update, April 2012
The East Montpelier Historical Society did a huge amount of research into this very cool building in May and June of 2011, and the Hangar Buulding was featured in their presentation in the Montpelier History Expo at the Pavilion in Montpelier. Ann and Conrad Ormsbee, along with Dave Coburn did an amazing job of finding and compiling photos of the building and grounds, and we even met 2 of the original builders of the property. We have a copy of the amazing binder of information and photos that they created, and one of these days we'll get around to scanning it all in and posting it all up here!
This is how the building looks today, with a new roof, interior refit and a fresh coat of paint! The unsightly chainlink fence that surrounded the property has also been removed, bringing the property's feel more in line with the largely residential neighborhood that it's in.
